Why Not
this was a fun show, their first time at AZ's new jamband bar - the Goat Head Saloon. and the first time i've seen them with the new (or, old?) bass player, Andy Irvine. he positively ripped it up throughout the show, the only downside is he got lost in long meandering bass solos a couple times and had to be corralled by the rest of the group just to rejoin the song. but hey, this was one of his first outings with the group, i'm really looking forward to what he'll contribute in the coming months!
anyway, i figured out a couple of the unknown songs from the setlist:
track 2: Damn Right
tracks 9 & 10: Feel It
track 18: West Coast
never could figure out track 17, it is very familiar, but i couldn't find it on any of the other On The One shows i had. perhaps its a cover?

RE: that funky shit i'm hearing
do you hear that funky shit i'm hearing?
this is killer. Andy Irvine! Jon Staten! Jessie Malloy! So glad these guys are together again! had the pleasure seeing them in memphis back in '02, but with carlos washington leading and another guy on guitar. i taped, but the recording is really bad. Giant People i think was the name.
This recording sounds great. Thanks for archiving!
